Meet the Staff

Under the direction of Miss Andrea Dimpter-Jones (Miss A to her students), our ADC Staff consists of Teachers, Student Teachers and Guest Instructors who are highly trained, talented, creative and truly love what they do. Our studio gives young, new Choreographers and experienced teachers the opportunity to bring their energy and new found knowledge to our students so that they may learn dynamic choreography and cutting edge moves from the world of Dance. We offer classes for all ages and levels in many genres of Dance as well as private instruction and special choreography for auditions and school musicals.

 

Miss Jenna Alexander

Ballet, Modern & Progressing Ballet Technique Instructor, Competition Team Director

Miss Jenna is an Award-Winning Performer, Instructor and Choreographer with over 25 years Dance training and over 10 years of teaching experience. Jenna has studied Ballet, Pointe, Modern, Jazz, Tap, Hip-hop, African, Lyrical, Contemporary, and Theater. She was a Principle Dancer in several companies including the Rutgers Performing Dance Company where she was given the honor of Lead Choreographer for several performance pieces. Miss Jenna has taken Master Classes with the Pennsylvania Ballet, NYC Ballet, Joffrey Ballet and Alvin Ailey. She received a full scholarship into Philadanco’s Summer & Winter Programs training for the Main Company. Miss Jenna has had the opportunity to study under David Kloss, Althea Leslie, Norman Taylor, Dale Schmidt, and Joan Myers Brown. As a premiere Dancer, Miss Jenna has traveled around the country performing in benefits and charity events. She was a proud member of the Disney family where she gained exposure to performing in various parades and shows, both locally and in Florida. She also was selected to be a part of a summer training program which allowed her to study tap under the Radio City Music Hall’s Rockettes. While attending Southern New Jersey Academy of Performing Arts she was able to broaden her teaching skills by studying with Guest Artists and Dance Companies from around the country, was chosen for several lead ballet, pointe and modern solos and duets, and was selected to choreograph a senior piece. Miss Jenna has performed in local adaptations of “The Nutcracker”, “Beauty and the Beast”, “A Christmas Carol”, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” and “The Beloved” to name a few. Miss Jenna continues her studies by taking Master Classes and attending workshops and seminars. She brings to ADC an incredible passion for Dance, devotion to her students, an impressive teaching resume and an amazing level of dedication and professionalism. We proudly welcomed Miss Jenna to the ADC family in 2010!

Miss Jocelyn Jones

Little Beginners, ComBO & Lyrical Instructor, Office Director/Assistant Competition Team director

Miss Jocelyn has studied Dance since the age of 3 and has over 15 years of dance education experience. Classically trained in Acro, Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Modern, Musical Theater and Tap. She has traveled to several dance conventions studying master classes.

She is currently teaching all levels of dance and contributes her talents in choreography for the beginner through intermediate Classes. Miss Jocelyn also helps run our Petite Competition Program. We proudly welcomed Miss Jocelyn to the ADC Family in 2010!

Miss Lindsey Kranz

Ballet Instructor

 

Miss Lindsey is a graduate from Muhlenberg College with Bachelor’s degrees in Dance and Psychology. Lindsey began her dance education studying Ballet, Jazz, Tap and Contemporary at local schools. She has studied Ballet and Pointe under Shaun Doyle, Thomas Gant and Fang-Ju Chou taking part in many ballet productions including The Sleeping Beauty, Coppelia, Cinderella, The Nutcracker and Snow White.  In college Lindsey participated in many dance productions including Moving Stories, Master Choreographer’s Concert, and Dance Emerge. She choreographed a modern dance work entitled; Convergent Thinking on Muhlenberg dancers as well as a solo entitled Upon Departure on herself for the Senior Showcase. While attending Muhlenberg Lindsey studied ballet under Karen Dearborn, Heidi Cruz-Austin of the PA Ballet, Marisa Cerveris of the NYC Ballet, and Ellen Troy Mulcahy of The Joffrey Ballet. She studied modern dance under many teachers including Charles Anderson, Corrie Franz Cowart, Jeffrey Peterson, and Charlotte Boye-Christensen. She also studied Jazz and Hip-hop under Pattie Bostick and Sammy Reyes. While attending Muhlenberg Lindsey took part in a performance ensemble called Dance Max Moving Company in which she helped design and performed in an educational children’s show surrounding dance and science. The show was performed in public elementary schools throughout Allentown. She also designed and implemented a six week dance curriculum for fifth grade students in a public Allentown elementary school. Lindsey has been guest teaching at Adagio Dance Center since 2010 and joined the ADC staff in 2013!

 

Miss Abby Lamb

Hip Hop & Jazz Instructor

 

Miss Abby brings to ADC a high energy, enthusiasm and passion for dance education and the performing arts. Abby is a 2022 Early Graduate Scholarship  student from Rowan University, with a BA in Dance and a Certification in Dance Studio Management. She performed in several Rowan mainstages, such as, Groove!, Small Gifts, and Making Good Trouble.

 

She was also Treasurer of Rowan’s Contemporary dance, company Dance Extensions and a member of Rowan’s Hip Hop dance crew, 3D. Prior to Rowan University Abby was a heavily involved competition dancer for 15 years, competing regionally and nationally. Abby danced on the Philadelphia Soul football field, as well as, Main Street U.S.A in Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. In 2022, Abby created, directed, and choreographed her own full length piece called Roots Ignite.

 
 

Miss Amanda Waer

Acrobatic Arts Instructor

 

Miss Amanda brings with her over twelve years of dance and acrobatics experience. She also brings with her 11 years of competition experience in which she has received various awards such as first overalls, special judges awards, standout awards, scholarships, dance intensive invitations and more.

 

Additionally she was part of Sterling’s Dance Team where she choreographed several pieces. Since Amanda graduated in the top fifteen percent of her class she was awarded a full scholarship and is now attending Camden County College pursuing a nursing degree in the Stars Program. Miss Amanda also recently received her Certification in Acrobatic Arts.

 

MR. Conner Kelly

Tap Instructor

 

Mr. Conner has done a significant amount of Tap Dance related work from his earlier years performing with The American Tap Dance Foundation and other New York shows including Ayodele Cassels, Tappy Holidays. Most significantly, Conner joined a cast called TAP STARS who brought their performance from the Kennedy Center all the way to Vancouver. Currently, Conner performs & trains with the Philadelphia Tap Jazz Ensemble while also doing various solo performances & teaching up & down the East Coast.

“Tap dance is something that is often misunderstood & misrepresented so it is my job to consistently keep my best foot forward, teach from where I’ve been taught & give credit back to the Masters of Tap Dance – starting with Bill Robinson.” You can follow Conner’s Tap Dance journey on Instagram @itsconnerkelly

Miss Jasmine

Guest Acrobatic Arts Instructor

 

Jasmine Zook graduated from Adelphi University with her BFA in dance. She was a gymnast prior to becoming a professional dancer. Jasmine has danced with Alchemy Dance Company, Roger Lee Dance Arts and is the Artistic Director and co-founder of Labyrinth Dance Company.

 

She has enjoyed teaching in the greater Philadelphia area since 2016 and is now pleased to be a guest artist at Adagio Dance Center.
