Release of Liability
IT IS UNDERSTOOD that in dance, as in any physical activity, there is an inherent risk of injury. By acknowledging this document, the parent or legal guardian acknowledges that this risk is present in the student’s dance class and will not hold ADAGIO DANCE CENTER or any representative of ADAGIO DANCE CENTER responsible for any such injury. Furthermore, the parent/legal guardian and student should make known to the instructor and the studio director any past injuries, or medical conditions that could affect the performance of the student in class.

Code of Conduct
Every dancer will need to be respectful of all students and teachers. We will not tolerate any physical or verbal abuse, including “name calling” or “bullying” by any student. If a student disrupts the safety of other students in the class they will be asked to leave without refund. All students must also show respect to the property of others. Any intentional damage to or theft of such property or class equipment will not be tolerated and could result in the student’s dismissal from class without refund. All ADC dance teachers will make sure the classroom is a safe environment by upholding these rules and regulations. If a student does not abide by these rules they may be asked to discontinue dance classes until they can use appropriate behavior. At any time, we reserve the right to refuse service based on the above mentioned. Inappropriate behavior, negative comments/attitude and/or demeaning comments/attitude made by a parent and/or student will not be tolerated and the dancer will be immediately excused from the studio. This includes substance abuse while attending classes, events and representing ADC from both dancers and parents.

Depending when the separate order is placed, some manufacturers charge separate rush order fees. Those who make late payments will be responsible for the separate shipping and potential rush order fees. ADC will communicate what those fees are, if a late costume payment is made.

Absence Policy
If a student is absent, the parent or student needs to contact ADC prior to the class. Additionally, it is the policy of ADAGIO DANCE CENTER not to return tuition payments for lessons not fulfilled. If it is necessary for the student to be excessively absent, other arrangements may need to be made with the director or assistant directors to set up private classes with the student. Students are required to attend classes on a regular basis, any student missing more than 12 classes will not be permitted to participate in the performance. As payment is still due, on rare occasions it may be preferable for the student to withdraw and re-enroll at a later date, however, the student’s place in class may be forfeited to a prospective student. If a student misses a class and would like to make up the class, please contact the studio director.

Make-up Class Policy
Your student has the option to make up a scheduled class due to an excused absence.

Excused Absences are:

They may make up the dance class by taking the same class at a different time. Please visit or contact the front desk to determine the right class. Refunds will not be issued for missed classes. Class make ups can only be used when the student is enrolled in the class. If your student decides to drop for any reason and returns after any amount of time, your student will no longer be eligible to use their class make up. Class make-ups must be completed within the month of the missed class. NO EXCEPTIONS!

Dis-enrollment Policy
If the student needs to be dis-enrolled Adagio Dance Center requires a written notification prior to the first of the following month or tuition is due for that month. If the student misses more than 2 weeks and tuition is delinquent, Adagio Dance Center reserves the right to withdraw the student from the class and give said student’s position in the class to another waiting student. Tuition will still be due for ALL unfulfilled classes. No refunds will be given for any students who have trouble adjusting to a dance class setting, are removed from the class for behavior issues, cry and refuse to go in or other behavioral reasons.

Social Media Policy
Parents and dancers need to be mindful of what they are posting on social media; once it is out there on the internet it is hard to retract. We encourage positive comments and pictures of our ADC family. Cyber bulling, negative comments and illicit behavior will not be tolerated and will result in immediate removal from ADC or result in refusal of service. We also ask our families to not post any full videos of our choreography. We want a great experience for everyone please be mindful and respectful to that.

No Distribution or Solicitation Policy
ADC prohibits the solicitation, distribution and posting of materials on property by any ADC family/dancer or non-ADC family/dancer, except if allowed by an ADC Staff Member. This includes soliciting ADC Staff, Dancers or Family members for money, donations or items for personal gain. If this policy is violated the dancer and parent will be excused from the studio immediately.

Medical Emergencies
I fully understand that Adagio Dance Center’s instructors, agents, and employees are not physicians or medical practitioners of any kind. With the above in mind, I hereby release and grant permission to the Adagio Dance Center’s Staff to render temporary first aid to my child in the event of any injury or illness, and if deemed necessary by the Adagio Dance Center Staff to call a doctor to seek medical help, including transportation by an Adagio Dance Center member, whether paid or volunteer, to any health care facility or hospital, or the calling of an ambulance for said child should the Adagio Dance Center Staff deem this to be necessary.

Level Placement Policy
Adagio Dance Center and it’s instructors will place students in classes. We feel it is more important that the children are in the correct level of class, then making sure a student is with their exact age group. We ask that for your respect in regards to our expertise in placing students in classes. We desire to see every student grow and achieve the most within our classes. When a class is too challenging, they may not be able to grasp and learn proper technique. Likewise, when it is too easy, a student may not grow as a dancer.
