TUITION Policy
Tuition is due THE FIRST OF EACH MONTH regardless of when your first class of the month falls. Adagio Dance Center does not mail out reminders or bills for tuition. Payments may be made in cash, check or credit card.

There is a one-time registration fee per dancer or family. The fees are as follows:

One Dancer       $22

Two Dancers     $37

Three+ Dancers $42

Tuition does not include any performance fees, registration fees or costumes – they are in addition to your tuition payments.

If you chose to pay by cash or check, payments must be made in an envelope and handed to the ADC lobby desk attendant. Please do not place tuition payments in the outside mailbox or just leave it at the front desk without giving it to an ADC staff member. If you chose to pay with a credit or debit card, a 2.75% convenience fee is added to all payments. This fee is not charged by ADC, but is a fee that is charged by the credit card company. In the event that a credit/debit card is refused or returned as un-payable, the customer will be responsible for full transaction charges plus any fees charged by the banking establishment to Adagio Dance Center. In the event a check is returned a $40 fee will be assessed to any returned checks. In the event the check is returned, the customer will be notified immediately and will have 5 business days to submit a new payment plus the $40 returned check fee.

As a courtesy to our customers, a grace period is extended through the 7th of each month and after the 7th, a $20 late fee will be assessed to any tuition received late beginning on the 8th of the month. If the late tuition is received without the late fee included, the late fee will be added to the following month’s tuition. For every month the tuition has not been paid, a $20 late fee will be assessed until paid in full.

If an account is more than 30 days past due, the student will be excused from classes until the account is brought current. If an account is more than 90 days past due, the student will be excused from the studio until the account is brought current. If an account is more than 120 days past due, the account will be turned over to collections.

Tuition rate is constant: some months have less than 4 weeks and others five. The tuition does not change. ADC is not responsible for studio closure due to inclement weather. Also, the tuition amount does not change if the student is absent. (See Absences).

Dance Education Trophy Policy

Costume Payment Policy
50% Deposit, along with the $45 performance fee is due by November 1st. This payment is mandatory and must be submitted to be able to perform in the Annual Performance.

50% Balance is due by January 15th. This payment is mandatory and must be submitted by the deadline in order to finalize ADC’s order and to guarantee timely delivery of our costumes. Most manufacturers will not ship costumes unless they are paid in full.

Any late payments on costumes will require the costume manufacturer to ship that costume separately. Separate shipping is approximately $10-15, depending on the manufacturer. Depending when the separate order is placed, some manufacturers charge separate rush order fees. Those who make late payments will be responsible for the separate shipping and potential rush order fees. ADC will communicate what those fees are, if a late costume payment is made.

Disenrollment
If the student needs to be dis-enrolled Adagio Dance Center requires a written notification prior to the first of the following month or tuition is due for that month. If the student misses more than 2 weeks and tuition is delinquent, Adagio Dance Center reserves the right to withdraw the student from the class and give said student’s position in the class to another waiting student. Tuition will still be due for ALL unfulfilled classes. No refunds will be given for any students who have trouble adjusting to a dance class setting, are removed from the class for behavior issues, cry and refuse to go in or other behavioral reasons.

Absences
If a student is absent, the parent or student needs to contact ADC prior to the class. Additionally, it is the policy of ADAGIO DANCE CENTER not to return tuition payments for lessons not fulfilled. If it is necessary for the student to be excessively absent, other arrangements may need to be made with the director or assistant directors to set up private classes with the student. Students are required to attend classes on a regular basis, any student missing more than 12 classes will not be permitted to participate in the performance. As payment is still due, on rare occasions it may be preferable for the student to withdraw and re-enroll at a later date, however, the student’s place in class may be forfeited to a prospective student. If a student misses a class and would like to make up the class, please contact the studio director.

Referral Program Policy
For every student that is referred to us and registers for the year, the family who gave the referral will receive a $20 credit on their account. The amount of credits you can receive is unlimited, so please refer as many new students as you can. There will be referral cards at the front desk, so please ask for them and hand them out.

Please note: the referral must register and stay enrolled for the full season to receive the credit.
